About Teamworks
Teamworks is the operating system for elite athletic teams. Serving clubs across the Premier League, LaLiga, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, NCAA, Premiership Rugby, and many more of the world’s top leagues, Teamworks ensures that professional, Olympic, and collegiate teams are run like well-oiled machines. Teamworks’ collaboration tools provide a centralised platform where athletes, coaches and team staff share and receive critical team information in one secure environment.
Teamworks’ tools automate the most burdensome of administrative tasks, including planning team travel, collecting required paperwork and surveys, building player schedules, and managing the movement of players from college to the pros, from academy teams to first teams, and from the minor leagues to the majors.
Two recent acquisitions highlight Teamworks’ continued commitment to serving all areas of the athletic operation:
- Teamworks added Notemeal to its family of products in 2021 to address challenges teams face in player nutrition. Notemeal automates the formation of player meal plans and introduces technology to streamline the extremely costly task of managing a team kitchen.
- INFLCR was also added to the Teamworks suite, as Teamworks recognized the need to provide teams with a better way to help athletes build their brands on social media. INFLCR uses artificial intelligence to provide players with the best photos and video clips from matches and other team appearances which players can then share, allowing them to grow their followership exponentially, take advantage of monetisation opportunities, and better tell their story digitally.
Founding Story
Teamworks is the brainchild of Zach Maurides, who observed the challenges of operating a complex athletic operation first-hand while playing football at Duke University. After witnessing many miscommunications, being frequently double-booked for appointments, and experiencing the frustration of trying to coordinate his responsibilities as an athlete across many siloed areas of the staff, Zach set out to solve the problem himself.
Having taken a heavy load of Computer Science courses, Zach knew technology was the key to getting his teammates, coaches, and staff on the same page, and he began building what would become Teamworks, the centralized platform where everyone involved with Duke Football could communicate, share information, and coordinate schedules.
It wasn’t long until it became clear that the problems Teamworks solved at Duke were shared by every other elite athletic team around the world. Zach recruited two co-founders and built a team of early staff, and the rest is history. Teamworks quickly grew into the industry leader in sports operations, expanding rapidly throughout collegiate football, then all NCAA sports, and soon thereafter launched into the professional and Olympic sports markets.
Today, Teamworks partners with everyone from the All Blacks to US Soccer, from 25 NFL teams to 3000+ NCAA programs. Having recently launched in the UK and across Europe, Teamworks has already onboarded its first four Premier League clubs and anticipates an explosive year of growth across the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Serie A in 2022.
